Indonesia Movieland sponsored “Jejak Guru Bangsa, Mewarisi Kearifan Gus Dur”, a story of the late Indonesian president and cleric Abdurrahman Wahid (also known as Gus Dur). Written by Mohamad Sobary, the event was held on August 5, 2010 at President Lounge, Menara Batavia, Jakarta. Started at 12.00 PM, the book launch was presented by news anchor Najwa Shihab followed by book review. Among the guests were the President Director of PT. Jababeka, Tbk., S.D. Darmono, humanist Butet Kartaredjasa, and also the late Gus Dur’s wife, Sinta Nuriyah.

Indonesia Movieland celebrated the groundbreaking of its first commercial area, “Hollywod Plaza” on July 29, 2010. The purpose of the event was to inform public on the starting of Hollywood Plaza construction as mixed-use building. Attended by Indonesian movie industry high profiles such as Director of Film, Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Ukus Kuswara; Vice President of National Film Advisory Board (BP2N)-cum-Director of Interstudio, Rudi Sanjoto; President Director of State Film Production (PPFN), Eddy Noor; and Director of PT. Jababeka, Tbk., Setiasa Kusuma. It was also announced that Indonesia Movieland would provide shooting location for the upcoming Putra Pictures, previously produced “Love and Edelweiss”, movie project.
